1940 London and the Great Fire, by John E. N. Hearsey (read 19 Aug 1985) The Great Fire broke our Sept 2, 1666 and raged till Sept 6. The first part of the book tells much about old London and since I don't know too much about London that part of the book was not interesting. But the account of the fire was worth reading. It was a big fire.
