Merciless Legacy: Asha Kade Private Detective Mystery Thriller (Merciless Murder Thrillers Book 1), my second read from Tikiri Herath after having read The Girl Who Crossed the Line: A Red Heeled Rebels thriller: Novella (Red Heeled Rebels Thrillers) I grabbed one of her books on my TBR list. I guess I should have researched her writing a bit more as this book features the character from both books farter down the road than the Red Heeled Rebels books. So, I go back and read The Girl Who Ran Away: A Red Heeled Rebels thriller (Red Heeled Rebels Thrillers Book 1) next. I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).… (more)

I gave The Girl Who Crossed The Line by Tikiri Herath two stars and let me tell you why. Disappointment. Everything about the prequel intrigued me. From the cover to the blurb, I was drawn in. BUT, the prequel was only half the book, ending in a cliffhanger. The other half, chapters of Book I, The Girl Who Ran Away…and that, of course, left me wanting more. Soooo, I was miffed. I wouldn’t waste my time with this one. If it sounds like one for you, go for Book I, The Girl Who Ran Away.

Hold on to your Hat

Tikiri Herath writes like the widely experienced traveler she is, every spine-tingling step in the plot is like visiting a far-away land.

As Asha and Kate drive up to the posh winter cabin of their best friend, Victoria's fiancé, Chandler's family, the hair begins to rise on the back of your neck.

Something is very, very wrong with Chandler's family. Dark secrets deeply buried come to light. Evil whispers echo in the night. Tension builds until your jaw is tight.

I stayed up all night reading and then because I was too afraid to sleep. Merciless Past is a masterpiece mystery and an incredibly addictive read. Highly recommended.

Thrilling and fast-paced, what this novel lacks in character development is amply made up with action-packed adventures and a strong ethical message. Based on the gruesome statistics of human trafficking, the story leads the reader from Canada through to Europe exposing two girls to rapacious and dangerous thugs. The writing is crisp and descriptive which makes it a delightful read. The book is particularly well adapted to a young readership to expose them to the injustices of children the world over. Smart and entertaining.… (more)
