5641. Conquest By Man, by Paul Herrmann Translated from the German by Michael Bullock (read 26 Jul 2019) The English edition of this book was published in 1954. It surveys the exploring of the earth by men, starting with the Stone Age. Various things of interest are related, such as was there a place such as Atlantis, Greek legends, such as the Greek war with Troy, .There is some discussion of the Kensington Rune stone--which since my reading on 18 April 1982 of a book, The Kensington Rune Stone, by Theodore C. The text of the book concludes: "...so long as their have been men on the earth, the old prophecy of Dr. Faustus has proved true: We to new shores are called every day.".… (more)
