Izy Hossack

This teenager is an amazingly creative cook whose recipes all look really workable. She uses a lot of my favourite flavours (frangipane!), a fair amount of whole wheat. Many of the recipes are vegan or gluten-free. But they all look really good. OK, I'm not likely to cook with kale, but if I replace it with chard, I might just try the recipes. And like many cookbooks, she overdoes the chocolate for my taste.

Let's see. I've just got to try the blueberry-rhubarb pie. And the sticky banafee cake. Even the roasted cauliflower looks worth a try...
