I received this e-book ARC of Super Subversive Cross Stitch: 50 Fresh as F*ck Designs by Julie Jackson through Net Galley from Sasquatch Books in exchange for a truthful review.

Things start off with some cross stitch basics and then lead into lots of patterns.

The patterns are pretty straightforward, mainly a funny/subversive saying surrounded by a simple, yet effective, border. The book even ends with alphabet samplers and some sample border patterns, so you can create your own personal subversive sayings in cross stitch!

I personally don't think I will reproduce some of the more off-color patterns which make colorful use of the F-word or those which deal with drinking culture. But I did find several of the patterns sarcastic, smile inducing and I wouldn't mind hanging up somewhere/gifting! (I'm definitely going craft up the "Spark Joy or Get Out" pattern:-)

Just a book of silly photos of cats wearing wigs. Sometimes you just need a smile.

Want to know how to make the best, funniest, least PC, cross- stitch designs? Meet the book with designs your grandparents never did. Between 'Go fuck yourself', 'Whatever', 'Rat bastard', and 'you can't make me', you'll find guides to the best, worst sayings ever.
