While the book does not emphasize the cumulative effect of the many banishments from the unclerked "Quaker-type" consensual model (cf. p. 62-3), nor the many critical fora this model has engendered (the author briefly mentions Wikipedia Review, but does not mention Wikipediocracy or the excesses of Encyclopedia Dramatica), the book does provide a very solid analysis of the regulations that have evolved as the encyclopedia has evolved. The author being a member of the Board of Trustees explains the fact that the focus is not so much on studying the lobbyists who edit Wikipedia and those who try to out them. The problem of anonymity is treated primarily, if not exclusively, in terms of credibility.
