Thriller about a long dead evil girl (beautiful fifteen-year-old Charlene Childress) who was chained up and hidden under some tree roots in a river after she died, by her cousin/lover Daniel (who doesn’t go through with the suicide pact that Satan worshiper Charlene came up with). Charlene gets unchained over twenty years later by a couple of unsuspecting young boys (one is Daniels’s son) who find her dead skeleton in the river where it was hidden, and Charlene rises and begins her reign of terror and revenge with a very sharp knife. A totally creepy read with some pretty scary moments, especially with her skeleton wandering around in the shadows, in the dark, at night, around the river and the ranch house where she used to live and where Daniel’s family is currently staying. This was another great horror read by Ruby Jean Jensen with an interesting cast of characters, really great atmosphere, and some spooky and tense situations.… (more)

Young Felicia is attacked one night while going through the woods near her home. Nine months later she gives birth to a son, Jeremy. But why does Jeremy never cry? Why do the nurses hired to watch him never last long? Why do strange things happen when the lights are out?

This was a totally captivating read that had me quickly turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. Jeremy was a very creepy baby. The book had lots of tense situations and an interesting cast of characters. Another chilling read by Ruby Jean Jensen.… (more)

This book was not all I hoped it would be. I don't think I'm spoiling anything for you to say it's about a doll that kills people. The doll originally came from somewhere in South America and was given to a 12 year old girl in 1882 who resented it immediately because she was too old to play with baby dolls. She was the first to discover that the doll could be used to do away with people. I loved the first third of the book because it was not only creepy but read like a historical fiction. As time passed and the doll continued to kill through several generations it became so repetitive that I've lost track of how many times people began to suspect the doll of causing deaths and then miraculously forget their suspicions in 477 pages that could have easily fit into 300.… (more)
