This is a fun, family friendly story about one Pidgey and it’s adventures. The tale starts off simply and the rules of the game, Pokemon Go, are woven into the tale. Pidgey meets several other pokemon and makes a few friends. There’s some mild bullies and some know-it-alls in the mix. I like how Pidgey deals with each character it runs into.

I was surprised that there was a touch of first love romance in the story but I liked it. I also appreciated that the pidgeys in general didn’t have a gender, making romantic relationships a little complicated.

The stinky pokemon was also a nice addition as it showed that not all pokemon play well with each other. The ball dodging scene was also fun! Over all, this is a great little tale for fans of the game. 4/5 stars.

The Narration: Trevor Clinger has an odd cadence to his speech. He has plenty of odd pauses in each sentence. Also, he doesn’t do character voices well at all and that made it a little hard to keep all the pidgeys separate. However, his recording quality is good. It’s a steady volume the entire story and there’s no repeated sentences or such. 2.5/5 stars.… (more)
