A compact history of the P.Z.L. 23 Karas, its derivatives, and its planned replacement, the P.Z.L 46. The text is a very short but efficient history of the development and operational use of the aircraft. Most of the space is devoted to photographs, with a good quality of reproduction, and color drawings. That makes this a very good resource for modellers. I would have liked to see more technical drawings (if any survive from P.Z.L.) but this is a nice book, and very well done in its kind.

While this is not my favorite series, as I'm not especially interested in the Polish air arm in the Cold War period, the more recent numbers dealing with the 1918-1939 period do attract my attention. In particular, if you like aircraft of the Great War, this work might be for you. It has all the qualities that Stratus has comes to be know for in terms of good photos, good profile art, and comprehensive detail.
