Voornamelijk een fotoboek zoals de titel al doet vermoeden. De gebruikte foto's geven een zeer herkenbaar beeld van de jaren '70.

Iconic images of the era from the Getty Images collection. Iconic characters are illustrated, such as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Pablo Picasso, James Dean and Sugar Ray Robinson. Other notable people included are the composer Paul Hindemith, the space scientist J Allen Hynek (of 'Project Blue Book' fame), the Rosenbergs, Burgess and Maclean, and the playwright Brendan Behan. The images in this book are pretty interesting, but it would have been more interesting if there was more text accompanying each image so that you could learn more about the historical, political and social context.
