Columbo is great, despite being not quite fully formed (this is his first TV movie). The story isn't particularly gripping, and doesn't give Falk enough screen time.

Columbo is great, despite being not quite fully formed (this is his first TV movie). The story isn't particularly gripping, and doesn't give Falk enough screen time.
I enjoyed this book of short stories. Written by one of the two writers who originated the popular TV show, the character of Columbo comes across on the page almost as well as he did on the screen! Updated to current times, Columbo carries a cell phone and in one story is even convinced to fly to New York!
I hope he writes more, these were fun.

A deceptively shabby police detective solves murders.
C+ (Okay).
It's still too long, too slow, and too predictable. But I love this character, and this season spends a little more time with him.
