An interesting read, especially for those whose historical areas are concentrated in the offshore islands of Europe. Bohemia is the story of how a people created a vibrant culture and polity in the middle of a sea of ambitions, events, and catastrophes. Some of the names are unfamiliar, but the struggles are inherent in us all. My copy is number 432 in Everyman's Library, and was updated to 1939, by H.A. Piehler.
