Nana Malone writes like a drug dealer selling crack. She teases you with a taste and gets you hooked, then she leaves you hanging waiting for your next hit. She is queen of the leave-you-hanging duets. This book is no exception to the rule. Just as Jax and Neela are starting to get together - BAM - the book ends and you have to wait for the next book.
I love how Nana manages to keep her character world in play while teasing out new couples with each new duet. Both Jax and Neela are new to the show more Nana-verse but they fit right in with all of her previous characters.
Even though I am upset to be left hanging until Book 2 comes out I still loved this start to the story. I received an advanced copy of this book. show less

Firstly you should totally read Cheeky Prince (Royals Undercover) which gives you the background to Penelope and Prince Sebastian. I just love Calamity Jane, I mean Penelope her character just sucks you in and good lord you just can't help but feel sorry for her and how she doesn't do so well as a Royal Guard but her heart is so in the right place. Prince Sebastion really is a bit of a tortured sole after leaving home due to a relational that changed how he looked at his Farther. This isn't show more just a love story this is a bout 2 people wanting to be themselves and find it hard to conform to what their families want just because that's just how it is. There is plenty of sole searching for both as well mutual attraction that gets in the way of what they should be doing. I can not wait to read book 2! oh and I loved how Blake Security make an appearance too!!! show less

ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-30/4/18
I bloody adored "Cheeky King".
I clicked and connected more with this instalment than I did with the previous one, which I also enjoyed immensely.
This surprised me considering how hot and cold this pair run.
In fact, I felt that first Sebastion spat his dummy out and basically threw a royal brat tantrum and when he seemed to eventually stop fighting the inevitable it was basically Penny's turn to have a pop.
This pair were show more actually exhausting to keep pace with at times so up and down were their moods.
But despite there bi-polar antics I really did enjoy the hell out of this couple.
They had insane chemistry and I got to admit I do have an old soft spot for royalty romance it's a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine.
"Cheeky King" was such an easy read, with plenty of action as well as romance occurring throughout.
It was told in dual POV and delivered on all fronts.
An intensely satisfying light romantic read that I really enjoyed and am happy to recommend.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of "Cheeky King (Royals Undercover, #2)" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
