A lively and prosperous city sprang up, thrived, and vanished, in the space of a mere fifty years on the shores of the Texas Gulf Coast. Read it for research, for my upcoming book "The Adelsverein Trilogy", as it was especially thick on names, personalities and descriptions of what this city was like.
