They say there’s no guilt quite like Catholic guilt - and as a lapsed Catholic myself, I can confirm that it runs deep. I absolutely loved this book. It’s hard to pin down what I enjoyed most, but I can honestly say that Bridget’s delving into the bible and her musings about God are definitely close to the top of the list. This isn’t your typical coming-of-age. It’s raw, real, and on some levels, relatable. There’s a few moments that will just tear at your heart, it’s impossible to not feel bad for what Bridget deals with, but I can’t help but admire her spunk and determination.
