Cody McFadyen was born in Texas in February 1968. He pursued writing at the age of 35 and publishd his first novel and international bestseller, Shadow Man, in 2005. The Truth Factory (Smokey Barrett, #5) by Cody McFadyen
WOW! I think Cody McFadyen secretly works for the FBI, NSA, or CIA. This book was spectacular delving into the psyche and profiling of serial killers. Smokey (who's pregnant) and team get down and dirty on the latest case involving killings on a large scale. A neighborhood full of murdered people, assassins, video taped surveillance, and missing children where all isn't what it seems. This case explores the psychological side of the team breaking down the killer through their methods on meeting of the minds, forensics, and DNA. Very detailed and exploratory. Another great story in the Smoky Barret series. A twisted mystery of a serial killer with religious overtones. This book gets a little more in depth in Smoky's teams relationships with a little more personal info on James, Alan, Kirby, & Callie. Looking forward to reading the next in the series
I love this series. The author (who's male) has such detail for the female lead (Smoky). The intricacies of solving the crime & the camaraderie of the team like a family make this series excellent. I can't wait to read the next book!
Another great read in the Smoky Barrett series. A different king of monster this time. The whole team is involved & a little more deepening of the relationship with Tommy, Smoky, & Bonnie. Also changes coming in the FBI teams & funding. These books are very well written by Cody. He does a fantastic job with his lead female character & sub characters. Can't wait to read the next in the series "The Truth Factory"
