Alwina Meiber

Alwinder Meiber, of ethnic German background, was born in the village of Yagodnaya Polyana in the Volga region in Russia in 1925. This account provides information that is nearly impossible to find elsewhere. Her memoir includes information about her family history and descriptions about the village where she grew up, the famine years of 1932/33 and deportation to Kazakhstan in 1941. Alwinda Meiber now lives in Germany.
