This book starts with table of contents where recipes are listed as meals. Introduction discusses the heart healthy diet and benefits of this lifestyle plan.
Each recipe starts with a title, small color photo, prep and cook times and servings.
List of ingredients and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low fat, low sodium, low sugar and fresh vs canned items.
Directions are given and there is some nutritional information: calories, fat, carbs, protein, cholesterol and sodium.
There are SO many recipes I want to try and ingredients are fresh, not canned.
We do shrimp kebobs but I like this recipe because of the different spices used, will give it a try.
Recipes do NOT always start at the top of a new page. 6 week meal plans are included with calorie count. Conclusion note from the author.
