In accessible form and written in "simple" understandable language, about 150 psychoanalytic terms are explained. This is a monumental feat considering the subject matter -- labile, shifting, often entirely theoretical or representational, and understood by no one. (Example, "Dream Screens" -- a blank background associated with infantile sleep symbolically representative of the breast! [34])
Unabashedly Freudian, although the Introduction acknowledges the fact (continuously asserted by Freud himself) that Freud's theories were in statu nascendi, and constantly being revised.
Although it is already "dated" -- there is no "bi-polar", "enabler", or "gestalt" -- the accessibility of the terms almost brings one to tears, or to some other appropriate "Somatization". Very useful.
