A superficial and a-historical vision of ornament. The book does not deliver what it promises. With schematic drawings and insufficient specifications and no dimensions at all, it is not technical enough. On the other hand, the theoretical approach is equally flat, without the minimal historical analysis needed to deal with such a subject, mixing modern and contemporary examples as if they belonged to the same culture and time. Although it is not useful for practicing architects nor for scholars, it may serve a first year undergraduate student well, since its simplistic perspectival representation is easily understandable.½
