C+ (Okay).

18 short films about love in Paris. A few are good, one or two are bad, most are just filling time in a very Film Student Exercise way. It's kind of impressive that any manage to be good, with only a few minutes to work with.

Eighteen short films about love of various kinds in Paris (and by extension, love for the city itself). Some are much quirkier than others but which you prefer is likely to be a matter of personal taste. Some are quite thort-provoking and none are juist tourist stauff. The shortness of the films (max 10 minutes, some less) keeps the pace up and even if you don't care for some segments, it's never boring.

Well that left a lot of questions and a wide open space for another series.

Shadow Moon is about to get out of jail when he's suddenly let out early as his wife is dead, he discovers that his wife died in a car crash, with another man and it's all a huge mess. On the flight he meets Mr Wednesday who offers him a job.

Ian McShane chews the scenery in a spectacular fashion and this story of the supernatural and the ordinary is quite a good adaptation of the original story. I'm looking forward to more of this.… (more)

This is a very tense movie, with some gruesome deaths, but not focused on gore. It's easy to identify with the characters and the mental challenges are believable. The harsh, grey and steel-toned visuals support the script and the actors well.

Worth owning.
