This book is a pictorial catalog of a traveling exhibit of artworks of many kinds that center on angels as a theme. Each item is pictured in color with a description of the work itself, while the objects are grouped by sub theme, such as saints, guardians, and consolers. There is an extensive collection of pre-Christian art showing the previous history of spirits and winged beings in pagan art.
