- C. A. Norred was a preacher for churches of Christ in Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Illinois, Oklahoma, and California for fifty-nine years. He is listed in Preachers of Today, Vol. 1, 1952, 253. He attended East Texas State University when it was a private school under the direction of Dr. Mayo. He attended Gunter Bible College at Gunter, Texas.
A pioneer in church Bible school administration, C. A. Norred wrote The Bible Teacher first published by the Gospel Advocate in 1926 and revised in 1957
