This book is about a growing puddle that stretches and stretches, people try and stop it but it swallows up streets. This book counts up to twelve people, things, and animals that get slurped up in the puddle and then back down to one shaggy dog that gets out. I think children would enjoy the excitement and adventure in this book. It has a lot of things going on at once. I really like the fact that it counts to twelve and back wards to one again. I think it is a good way to have children follow along with counting.… (more)

Everything ends up sinking into the deep deep puddle. This seems a bit disturbing to me.... I can't help thinking they'd all be drowned.
