Rush Me (New York Leopards, #1) by Allison Parr
I picked this up because I love sports related romances and overall it was pretty good. I was annoyed with Rachel a good deal of the time. At first, I really liked her quirkiness but then she would do or say something so ridiculous that it just made her seem like a jerk. And I didn't think Ryan was a great guy most of the time. I wanted more sparks between them I guess. When I compare this to other books in this genre, it falls a little flat. Its not a bad book by any means, and I will probably read the next in the series, but it just isn't great. I wanted more-more romance, more depth of character, etc. It was a fast read and it was good though so if you have the time, this is a good one to add to your list of sports romances.… (more)

It was, apparently, marketed as a New Adult novel which targets readers in their early 20s, I guess. The copy editing was terrible and occasionally distracting, but I enjoyed the story of two flawed people coming together. Sometimes things just don't need to be complicated. I also loved this description, "....some Williamsburg hipster in weather-inappropriate scarves" - I will be stealing that. Anyway, this novel just felt fresh while remaining true to its romance roots. My only complaint, besides the poor editing, was that I wanted more football....… (more)

katiekrug | 6 other reviews | Apr 30, 2015 | I normally love books by the author so I'm sad to share this one wasn't as good to me. Story was ok but just never really hooked me in, it tended to drag at parts and I found myself skimming. (Beware of lots of f-bombs!)
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
