Thank goodness it was a short story.

The cake mixture: Advertised as an exciting thriller. In reality, someone threw the chapters into the air forcing a crash landing on the floor. Chapter sequence was lost forever, so even the flashbacks were in shellshock.

The icing: Painful to read with copy edit errors too numerous to count.

This reader will not continue the series citing irreconcilable differences.

The book was exciting and full of twists and turns. The author keeps you guessing as to who is responsible for the mysteries that occur throughout the book. Overall, a book worth reading. This book was given to me as an ARC in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

If you are looking for a thrilling, heart-pounding short story, this is it. Samantha Hemming is a woman that is not to be underestimated. I've sat here for about 5 minutes with my hands poised on the keyboard and can't digest what happened in this book. Once again, the ending is one I never saw coming. Brilliant, simply brilliant.
