This is a wonderful collection of first-person accounts from a variety of staff members in the Obama administration that tell the tales of some of the most important events in our history through their eyes. There is nothing better to understand why and how things happen than through the first-hand reports of the people directly involved in these events. This is a great book for anyone who loves history, politics and current events.
The contributors were not born thinking one day I will serve in the White House. They took different paths and had different personnel objectives. Despite this, they all had one thing in common, they tried to do the best they could in the positions they held, not for the glory, but for a belief that they could have a voice in government and serve the nation. These memories do not paint a perfect picture or one common belief. The hodgepodge of experiences occurred during the Obama presidency.
