Definitely designed from a more medicine-oriented perspective. Spends time on concepts not covered in other biophysics books such as feedback loops, lots of details of thermodynamics, statistics, and biomechanics (gross motor movements, etc.) type stuff. Also spends last few chapters discussing radiation and its effects on the body. Not exactly the best book if you want to learn about molecular biology and how physics applies to it. He'll use more chemistry to explain smaller scale issues (and a lot of it, with pv=nrt, gibbs free energy and whatnot).… (more)
