Any vocabulary collection that purports to contain "the most useful words" of any language has to be somewhat arbitrary. In particular, such a list of Spanish vocabulary runs into the danger of Latin American vs. continental Europe useage and especially regional differences in Latin America. Still, this is not a bad little book for all that; the selection of nouns amd adjectives is good. It's most useful for reading, NOT for conversational Spanish, and even then, its value is limited because the verbs are given in infinitive form. Spanish has a high percentage of irregular verbs, especially stem-changing ones in which the present tense doesn't bear that much resemblance to the infinitive.
