The crime and the solving thereof were not as far fetched as some of the other mysteries, and the girls were not complete ditzes.
Just in chapter 4, the 'girls day out' that turns into a 'girls night in', the group is referred to as 'the ladies' just a couple of times to often in too short of a space (fairly obbnoxious repetition).
