This book is a no-nonsense guide to running a well-organized, gracious home, a concept that has gone rather out of fashion. Dorothy Rodgers, the wife of composer Richard Rodgers, gives advice that is right on target over forty years after this book was written. While some of her ideas on decor may be dated, her advice on creating and maintaining an organized, welcoming home is timeless.
