A young girl and her Grandpa explore one of the world’s most famous cities, in this beautiful storybook. Alongside the story of their walk, the pages include informational additions about Parisian landmarks and French culture. Index.

This book has charming illustrations and contains interesting facts about ducks, as told by a young girl who is the narrator. I would love it... if only the author did not describe duck mating pairs as "boyfriend and girlfriend" (they are not humans!) and then immediately go on to mention how male mallards sometimes get too excited and physically attack/gang up on female mallards. It's duck mating behavior, not girlfriend and boyfriend behavior... this feels significant to note, and makes it the kind of book I would not leave on a shelf for a child to read uncritically.… (more)

A girl and her grandfather take a walk through Paris to see the popular landmarks and enjoy the culture. Beautiful illustrations with tons of detail. Includes facts about Paris within the pages. Also includes an index so the reader can look up specific places and landmarks. This would be a good book to have in a geography lesson, or French class or when beginning a book set in Paris.
