Cozy, Quirky, and Completely Charming
Zoey and Gage made me rethink a trope I thought I’d sworn off.
First off, I need to find this town and move there immediately. Story Lake is everything — that perfect blend of quirky, charming, and delightfully chaotic, filled with townsfolk (human and otherwise) who steal every scene. The Bishop brothers are amazing, but honestly? Bertha the raccoon, Goose the eagle, and the entire parade of pets turn this book from a simple escape into a full‑on show more retreat.
Zoey and Gage are the perfect pair, and they’ve officially made me rethink a trope I’m usually on the fence about — friends to lovers. Their banter, chemistry, and slow‑burn sweetness were just… sigh. I loved how they saw each other so clearly, even through all the surrounding chaos.
But what truly won me over was how this book celebrates life, love, and community. I’ve been looking forward to Zoey’s story since finishing book one, and Lucy Score delivered everything I hoped for — the humor, the heart, the laughter, the small‑town magic. It has that same joyful energy that made the first book shine.
This series continues to be a warm, cozy, hilarious hug, and I adored every minute of it. show less

Story of My Life pulled me in with its humor and heart. I had some true laugh-out-loud moments, and there were a few spicy ones too that kept things interesting. The characters had great chemistry, and I really enjoyed the back-and-forth interactions—especially the snarky moments mixed with real emotion. It had that classic Lucy Score charm: small-town dynamics, complicated relationships, and just enough drama to keep things moving.
The pacing was solid, and even when things got messy, it show more felt believable and relatable. I liked the growth the characters went through and how the story balanced romance with real-life struggles. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely engaging and left me smiling by the end. show less
