Maybe 2.5.

I found the author's tone around allies' struggle and confusion not just around pronouns but having a loved one in transition in general to be dismissive. I understand that what I'm going through is less difficult than what a trans* person is going through but that doesn't mean I'm not going through something and when I turn to a book for support I expect something more than "It's not all about you".
