This book is more a concept book/inspiration rather than a 'how-to' when it comes to the Japanese bath. There is no real history of the Japanese bath, or social-exploration. Nor is there that much in the way of the nuts-and-bolts of how you would build one in your own home (there is some guidance, but not enough if that is your intention).

That said, it is inspiring. As one who has declared that when we finally stop moving and build our own house it will have a Japanese style bathroom, I really liked this book. But I will be looking for something a little more specific if my plans ever come to fruition.… (more)
