Sometimes the best gifts do not come wrapped in a bow under the tree. Esme and Bear dive into the presents Christmas morning, but find one left over. But it is not for either of them. It is for Little Bunny Boo Boo. It will take a treacherous trail, a howling gale, and super deep snow drifts to find little Bunny Boo Boo, and in the end learn that friendship is the best present of all. Magic of Christmas all in the pages of a book!

I don't know if I'm misunderstanding the assignment for the week or what, but instead of finding things for students to use as writing models in just the text, I'm finding that in the illustrations, too... almost as if they go hand in hand. With this book the words are there, but it's really the illustrations that tell the story. I love this for introducing shapes, though! I flagged this one to use in my future classroom, too.
