I am probably the only person in this group that can truly say "I love snakes". I also find them absolutely beautiful and also among the most misunderstood animals on earth. Without snakes we would soon be overrun with rats and other vermin. I spent 28 years of my life presenting education programs that included the "snake message". I needed a book for a challenge and in searching found this little gem. I don't agree with every animal information book ever published...but I 100% agree and support this author's message and the clever method she used for its delivery. Any 5-year-old would love shouting out the answer to "Can snakes wear gloves"? An absolutely lovely little treasure here. I hope every pre-school, Kindergarten & 1st grade teacher will make this one a part of their curriculum. Oh...and the big one...People are not the choice food of snakes. A small child MIGHT be an occasional victim in some countries with very large snakes, but overall...snakes don't eat people...especially most adults. We're designed wrong to go all the way down...and snakes also aren't stupid:) P.S. I do understand people's fears of snakes because I am absolutely 1000%, TERRIFIED of spiders.… (more)

Awesome Animals are dyslexia friendly books meant for children 0-4 and emerging readers up to a 1st or 2nd grade level. And they are great for older kids and adults too ! Each book in the Awesome Animals series explores one fun fact, about one animal , and contains one key vocabulary word like “slither”, “evaporate” or “digest”.

In Snakes Have No Legs ! You will learn if a snake can wear shoes, and how they move around. The text and the illustrations are funny and adorable and will surely sparkle curiosity in children. I am absolutely in love with this tiny book. Kelly has a great way to explain scientific concepts in simple words and you will surely smile while reading it. I love how she describes the amazing abilities of the snake and then empathizes with the young reader's own strengths with her ending question : “What’s the wonderful thing about you ?” .… (more)

There is something you need to know about Meow : he is not a cat. No one knows why everyone calls the little boy Meow. But here he is, nicknamed like a cat. (And Cat doesn’t like it !) Today is a very special day : Meow and his friends are having a school trip to feed the monkeys bananas. But monkeys know nothing about sharing, so Meow is going to teach them a lesson.

Ok. This little book is great ! It is super funny, while teaching children (and adults!) the importance of speaking clearly. Meow is an adorable little boy that takes everything people say literally. That brings him a lot of problems, and gives us a lot of laughs. I totally love how Kelly Tills created a black cat as a secondary character, that comments everything Meow says. It is hilarious.

I love how Meow is a playful character, always in a good mood, despite other characters’ comments. He enjoys being himself, and lets nobody ruin that. He is an amazing model of self-love for children and how being different is a good thing. Meow is not a cat is an amazing book. And Max Saladrigas’ Illustrations are super cute. It is totally crazy, but very good-crazy. You will love it, I promise.

Cute little book about tasting. Chicks don't have as many taste buds as humans so they cannot eat candy. Humans have many, many more and can taste candy.

I enjoyed this quick read. I learned about taste buds. I had no idea that chicks had taste buds. I never thought about it. This is perfect for your toddler.
