Enjoyable rom-com with a difference. Mark Ruffalo is David, a depressed and lonely landscape architect looking for a flat to rent. Reese Witherspoon is Elizabeth, an overworked doctor... and then appears as a disembodied spirit whom only David can see.

Cleverly written, excellent chemistry, a good pace and some fast action as well as light humour. Very enjoyable; PG due to lack of anything explicit, but the subject matter really isn't appropriate for children.

Definitely recommended.

The story was engaging with good twists, and the actors are always fun to watch, but the political commentary was decidedly Ninteties PC and somewhat banal. PG-13 for salty language and sexual innuendo.

Wonderfully funny film. While the conspiracy plot is thin and the ending contrived, the most important plot, really a subplot shows how two former presidents see what life in America is really like. Though the film is 12 years old the illegal border crossing, the gay parade (in these days of don't ask don't tell still out there), and a truly great scene in which the family who appears to be camping and giving the 2 ex presidents on the lam food and a place to sleep, reveal they became show more jobless under one of the former presidents and then homeless under the next. The actress makes a wonderful cameo appearance and the scene is right out of 2010. show less
D (Bad).

A lonely man's sublet apartment is haunted by a woman.

I didn't expect this to be good, but I thought it would be a corny bad, or a messy bad. I never would have imagined a movie with such a promising premise could be this completely devoid of anything at all interesting.
