An exercise in nostalgia. Memories of those who followed the hippy trail to India and Nepal in the 60s and early 70s. A lost age of innocence. A pre internet, pre mobile phone world where youngsters hitched and got lifts across europe, through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan in search of, well what? Adventure, enlightenment, the joys of travel, drugs? All of those. Welcomed all along the way. For those who made the trip it changed their lives. They saw another world. During the decade from 1965-1975 many from the West travelled to India and Nepal. In the 90's, Tomory gathered the stories of some of these travellers and arranged them. I was in Western and Southern India as a child in the mid 60's. This is not my India, but I found it interesting reading.
