Edwin Tunis,
your book's not newness
it's also said that you are dead.

I love this picture story of Colonial Plantations
brilliantly scripted with phenomenal illustrations
black & white and now also, read.

This provided a lot of good information for helping me understand my fourth great grandfather's journal about his life in the 1800's.

An excellent oversized non-fiction book with words and drawings illustrating each aspect of frontier life. Tunis describes customs, tools, architecture, and all manner of life, beautifully illustrated with pen and ink drawings and maps.

Outstanding book. Was very influential in my personal development. I especially liked the part where he blamed his brother for shooting the window out with the BB gun.

Along with "Frontier Living" and "The Young United States", Tunis's books are excellent sources for information on day to day living, with exceptionally good illustrations.½

An excellent book with great descriptions and illustrations. Written in such a way that even land-lubbers can understand, I plan to save this for reference while I read my sea adventure books. This takes you on a brief tour of ships throughout history.
