Canada: A People's History Volume 1 by Don Gillmor

Very readable and well illustrated. This double volume history of Canada is a gentle way to be introduced to the way the country developed and can lead those interested into deeper avenues of reading and research as they feel led.
As a "people's history" it offers glimpses into the lives of various individuals, both well known or otherwise, as a particular event in the country affected them, or how they had an effect.
Here is a double publication, with or without the companion videos, of how a 'dry' topic' has been made more enjoyable and is appropriate for school students as well as adults.… (more)
