A lot of the jokes aren't funny, but it maintains an entertainingly goofy tone.

I enjoyed this book even though the subject matter was sometimes difficult. The story kept me thinking and really put things into perspective about what living during the Great Depression would have been like.

Pinky the Mouse gets to learn the meaning of Christmas. He also learns about the dangers on going out on his own when he meets Tiger the cat. The illustrations have been updated, but the old ones are better and luckily are shared at the end of the book.

I am reading this to my daughter and we are really enjoying it.
