I loved the way this book is written and the way the author tells us about this historic time in history so that we can share it with Pre-K and Kindergarten. I will definitely recommend it to our teachers here at Augustine. Even though we don't have school around this time of year, we can share it during Black History month in February. Thank you for selecting our school library to receive a copy.

This is a children book that tells the story of Juneteenth a holiday commemorating the end of slavery for black people in the United State. The book uses easy -to -understand language and beautiful illustrations to explain the history and significance of this important holiday and encourage children to reflect on the past and work towards a better future.

This is a great book to teach children about Juneteenth. The illustrations are colorful and well-done. The story is told simply in an age appropriate manner. I would suggest this for any household with children. This would also work great in a classroom as a teaching tool.
