I also liked how at the end the book provided facts of the plant cycle in English on one side, with Spanish matched on the other side of the page. Additionally, there is a Spanish matching game at the end of the book that really incorporates learning into the story. I love that this book is bilingual and it is the only children's book I could find relating to Mexican Jumping Beans. The story is sweet and the students really enjoyed it, as well as the discussion on the Spanish words. The book opened up a hole lesson on Mexican Jumping Beans with my first graders. I was really happy to be able to find at least one picture book relating to the topic. I would say this book would work up to 3rd grade.
