Heather Young attended the University of Virginia where she earned her law degree. She practiced law in San Francisco before starting her writing career. She also received her Masters of Fine Arts from the Bennington College Writing Seminars and studied at the Tin House Writers' Workshop and the show more Squaw Valley Writers Workshop. - After a decade practicing law and another decade raising kids, Heather decided to finally write the novel she’d always talked about writing. She lives in Mill Valley, California, with her husband and two teenaged children. When she’s not writing she’s biking, hiking, neglecting potted plants, and reading books by other people that she wishes she’d written.
