This basic, straightforward alphabet book matches animals to the letter that their name starts with.

I really like the usage of real animals and the amount of details the pictures show of the animal. I think this is important because it gives children a realistic idea of what these animals look like vs. cartoons pictures.

This book had some great pictures. I was able to use this book to get my students to really open up...talk about what they see. They used describing words and had a blast writing about what each animal was thinking, planning and going to do next. It really brought out the creativity!

Awesome photographs! They do, as intended, show the character of the birds and are portraits of individual birds, not just pictures of a generalized bird. There is so much close-up detail on each portrait, revealing extra personality and just gorgeous plumage and bird bodies.
