| Description | Albator is the French speaking name for Harlock (Herlock in the UK) in the science fiction series. The name change was due to the original name being too close to the Tintin character Captain Haddock. The disputed origins of the name, according to Éric Charden was a rugby friend Jean-Claude Ballatore, combined with albatros to create Alba-tor. |
