Description

Description
(Fictitious character?). Anne Fox is the daughter of Nicholas Fox, an impresario.  In the summer, he tours with a troupe of people with real or created deformities, and Anne, who has a port-wine birthmark on her face, supposedly because of her mother’s excessive fondness for wine, acts as his crier. Anne is a very shrewd young woman, aware of more than would be considered appropriate, and very adaptable.
