People/Characters Bernie Little

(Fictitious character) Bernie Little, who was wounded in the leg while serving in the army, is the one man, plus dog, Chet, Little Detective Agency.   In between, he worked for the Valley police department.  Bernie and Chet both love Porsches, but they don’t last real long in his line of work.  He was formerly married to Leda, and they have a son, Charlie.   It is not an amicable divorce.  Leda has remarried a well-off man named Milton.    Bernie is a good detective, and has high moral standards, but given to bad investments when he’s been drinking.   His successes have made him a lot of friends, but his methods sometimes annoy other people.
