People/Characters Binetou

Binetou is the friend of the daughter of Ramatoulaye and Modou Fall.   Modou becomes interested in her, and courts her behind the back of his wife.  She reluctantly agrees to marry him under pressure from her mother, because he is much wealthier than their family.
